Pick a reel

Choose a working directory on launch. Tape Sim writes numbered WAV tracks directly into that folder.

Arm tracks

Enable the tracks you want to record, then use the transport to play, stop, rewind, fast-forward, or return to zero.

Bounce out

Select two tracks and create a stereo WAV from the Actions menu when the pass is ready to keep.

Program details

Simple routing, explicit files, fast keys.

Tape Sim creates as many mono tracks as your default audio input exposes. Playback maps each track to the matching output, so the available output count should match the input count.
